Mission, Vision and Values
When Chalmers Community Service Centre opened in 1997, we were a small group of Chalmer's United Church members determined to fight local poverty in Guelph.
Homeless people and working poor in the city were without adequate food and support during evening hours. We became Guelph's only resource for afterhours community dinners and social programs.
Today, we are an incorporated organization funded by the United Church of Canada, the United Way, and many private donors and volunteers.
Our Mission
We are an organization called to care, compassion and social justice. We provide food, referral, and support that enables those in need to become more self-reliant and socially connected.
