Do I need to show my ID?
Yes, we ask to see your ID. Parents/Guardians with children are required to show the ID of their children (to see their date of birth) to be registered.

Is it free?
Yes. Chalmers provides services free of charge to all guests.

I don't have a fixed address or a proof of income, can I visit?
Chalmers does not require documentation of a fixed address or proof of income from our guests.

I have mobility issues, do you deliver food?
Unfortunately, Chalmers do not deliver food.

I need my pants mended. Can you help?
Chalmers offers mending services at our main location (41 Macdonell St.) on Wednesdays 6:30 PM- 8:00 PM and Friday 10:00 AM-11:30AM. There is a limit of 1 item maximum per family per month.

We are a family with kids, what do you offer?
Chalmers offers food and hygiene products for a maximum of one parent/guardian and three kids. If there is another parent/guardian, they will receive portions for themselves.

I have more than 3 kids, how many portions can I receive for them?
Unfortunately, there is a limit of 4 portions (one adult and 3 children).

I have dietary restrictions, what food do you offer?
Let us know what your dietary restrictions are, and we will do our best to accommodate them. Chalmers cannot guarantee that our food is allergy free.

Do you offer your services in languages other than English?
Several members of our team and volunteers speak multiple languages. Inquire when you are here, and we will do our best to accommodate.

I'm a guest but I am interested in joining Chalmers as a volunteer, is it possible?
We take volunteer applications through our Chalmers website. You can also ask our Program and Volunteer Manager in person.

Do you offer clothing?
Chalmers primarily supports the provision of food and hygiene products, however we do have some clothing on site. Our partner, Three Willows Church, offers access to a wider range of clothing during our pantry days at the West location (577 Willow Road). Clothing is available the first two Thursdays of the month.
